Due to its composite structure of two polymer materials, bi-component FDY yarn has a certain elasticity. In common parallel bi-component FDY yarn, the two components have different heat shrinkage rates, which will generate internal stress during heating or finishing, thus forming a curling structure in the yarn or fabric.
