The color stability of two-component FDY yarn is crucial in long-term use, especially when applied to textiles, clothing or other products. Keeping the color bright and uniform is the basic requirement of users for the product. In order to ensure that the color does not fade or change color during use, two-component FDY yarn adopts a variety of technologies and processes to improve color stability during its production and processing.
The color stability of two-component FDY yarn is closely related to its raw material selection. The polyester material used to make two-component FDY yarn has high stability and is not easily affected by ultraviolet rays, heat or oxides in the air. The selection of dyes must not only meet the requirements of bright colors, but also ensure that they will not change due to external factors such as ultraviolet rays, friction or cleaning during long-term use.
In the post-textile processing stage, many two-component FDY yarns will undergo special treatments such as anti-ultraviolet and anti-oxidation, which can further enhance the color stability of the fiber. Anti-ultraviolet coating or anti-aging treatment can effectively resist the damage of ultraviolet rays in the sun to the fiber, reduce the decomposition of ultraviolet rays on dyes, and extend the service life of the color. In addition, some special functional treatment processes such as waterproof, oil-proof, and anti-fouling can also help to maintain the brightness and uniformity of the color and avoid color variations caused by the intrusion of moisture or oil.
The color stability of two-component FDY yarn also benefits from its structural design. In terms of fiber structure, two-component FDY yarn uses two polymers interwoven in a way that not only enhances the strength and durability of the yarn, but also improves the color durability of the yarn. Because the distribution of the two polymers can make the dye more evenly attached to the fiber surface and avoid the dye from falling off during cleaning or friction.
Color stability in long-term use is also closely related to fiber care and maintenance. In daily use, avoiding excessive exposure to the sun, reducing strong friction, and taking appropriate cleaning methods are effective means to prolong color stability. For example, using mild detergents, avoiding high-temperature drying, and avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight can effectively reduce the risk of color fading.
